In 2015....

  • Begin Anew served 220 adults living in poverty by providing case management, assessments, mentoring, educational classes, small group Bible study, and referrals to mental and physical health agencies in Middle TN.
  • 145 children, infant to middle school age, were provided free programming, which included tutoring, bible study, and a nurturing environment.
  • 73% students graduated or remained enrolled
  • 25 total professions of Faith shared.
  • 6 Rededications shared.
  • 64 men enrolled in either the HSE or ESL programs.
  • 40 graduates in HSE (High School Equivalency), ESL, Literacy, or Computer/Job Skills.
  • 1,385 mentoring hours were invested in students – (value of $39,195 in-kind support)
  • 7,995 teacher/tutor volunteer hours were invested – (value of $186,763 in-kind support)
  • $302,905 is the total in-kind monetary amount of volunteer hours invested in students.
  • 254 Volunteers served as childcare workers, mentors, teachers/tutors, or in administration
  • Conducted needs assessment in the Woodbine area to open a new site in 2016.
