Students serving Our Students

Earlier this month, volunteers from Bethel's student ministry joined us at the Williamson County site to help us get organized and stay ready for students! From cleaning children's toys in preparation for sick season to writing notes of encouragement to our students, these young volunteers demonstrated sweet servants' hearts as they worked behind the scenes to serve our students.

We absolutely love having high school volunteers join us! Are you or do you know a student who would benefit from serving? How about sharing the Gospel with children? Well, we have a perfect opportunity! Come join us by serving in childcare. Students not only get the opportunity to learn from and serve people, but they will get to take part in the great commission on a weekly basis. To join us, please fill out the volunteer application above under the "Get Involved" tab or email

Thanks, Bethel, for showing students that volunteering can begin at any age! Your kindness will impact the lives of many students to come!

We are pleased to introduce two new members to our Ministry team!

Bryan Williams

Bryan Williams

Bryan Williams is our new Williamson Men’s Program Director.  Bryan has a BA in Student Ministry from Charleston Southern University.  He has previous experience with Begin Anew as a Childcare Coordinator for our Williamson Site.   Bryan saw first-hand what God is doing in the lives of our students and their families through Begin Anew.  He is just as excited as we are to have him back with the team!

Ashley Leftwich

Ashley Leftwich

Accepting the challenge of Advancement Director is Ashley Leftwich.  Ashley is a proven champion in the non-profit world.  She has propelled the initiatives of several area non-profits such as the Williamson County Cultural Arts Commission, Williamson County Library & Friends of the Library, Habitat for Humanity, Williamson County Fair, and MidSouth Ballet Company.  She has her MBA and BBA in Marketing from MTSU.  We feel fortunate to have her take charge of Begin Anew’s progress and advancement.

Calling Hearts & Hands 2017 Campaign

Begin Anew is Calling Hearts & Hands to enlist 75 Encouragers & Prayer Partners between January and March.  Our hope is for every 2017 Begin Anew student to have someone walking alongside them, encouraging and praying for them to reach their goals.
Our students often do not have the support system, relationships and role models needed to reach their goals. Research has shown that having a positive encourager/supporter can produce significant change for an individual. The adults in our programs come to us because they do not have their High School Diploma, computer and job skills, or speak the English needed to succeed and earn a living wage.

Could God be calling you to step out in faith and be a Prayer Partner or Encourager to bring His hope to a person struggling to overcome the obstacles caused by poverty?
